Mammoth VR Launches in Calgary
With the industry growing, it is always great to see hubs such as Calgary expand into even more VR options. With existing VR companies already long at play in Calgary such as Red Iron Labs and Genesis VR, it is nice to see a new company join the ranks.
Mammoth VR
VR is making its way into business applications including facility tours, training, tourism and therapy. VR is not just for fun applications like gaming, it’s a very impactful business tool that will change the way we interact. Imagine being able to have employees, investors or customers tour your facilities from their corporate office as if they were actually on site. Think about the learning possibilities. It’s endless and a local Calgary company has spent the last two years researching the technology so that they can put it to work for companies throughout Western Canada.
Mammoth VR was cofounded by industry veterans, Matt Wright and Jeff Bradshaw and they officially opened their doors for business January 18, 2016.
With the scheduled release of the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive headsets in the first quarter of 2016 there is much anticipation of the possibilities VR will have for all types of industry.
“We’ve worked with some of Canada’s largest corporations, developing training, sales, marketing and corporate communication tools. The possibilities that VR brings to this space is simply amazing,” explains Bradshaw. “It’s still in its infancy but people immediately see the potential once we show them a quick demo of what it’s capable of.”
